Familiar Place: As I run down my steps going into my living room I hear the siren atop the fire house blaring like a tornado siren. once I'm outside I fell the adrenaline pumping through my body like an engine pumping fuel through a motor. I hop on my bike and take off. I approach Darby Road and the siren is winding down and i hear the cars racing up and down the street. I cross safely and as I enter the fire house to the smell of truck exhaust and smoke you hear the dispatcher say "Police on location advise a working fire". Then your adrenaline is pumping double and you get excited. Once you pull out you hear the officer pin the air horn and the Q siren. You hear the chirps of the air packs turing on and the sound of other fire trucks responding. Once you get on location you get the scent of wood and plastic burning.
Strange place: You enter a stranger's home whit heavy smoke all around so thick you can not even see your hand in front of your face. You feel the heat pressing down on the back of your neck. The air in the air bottle starts getting hot, hard to breathe but not impossible. Once you find the orange glow you make a knock on it and the room get cooler you start ventilating the room and the smoke starts to leave and you can see again. You look around the house at the damage done by the fire and you start to familiarize yourself with your surroundings.
